Katie Monteith


Mrs. Katie is a wife and mom of three girls, Mayleigh, Adeline and Emilia. She graduated Western Carolina University with her License in Birth-Kindergarten Education in 2008. From there, she taught Pre-K at Webster Early Education and Preschool for 5 years in the NCPRE-K/Developmental day program. Ready to grow her family, she went to work at a half day preschool program at her church in their Transition To Kindergarten class. She stayed at FUMC Early Learning Center for 4 years where she could still teach and also spend more time with her 3 young children. Mrs. Katie loves using art and books in her lessons to inspire creativity and enhance learning.

Kristina Owen


Mrs. Kristina is a wife and mom of 2 children, Pierson and Paige. She has an associates degree in early childhood education from Southwestern Community College. She spent 7 years teaching in a Head Start classroom at Kneedler on WCU campus. Kristina is working towards her bachelors in Birth-Kindergarten education at WCU. Mrs. Kristina enjoys teaching literacy skills and working in small groups with children to help meet the needs of each individual child.

Jennifer Rogers

Mrs. Jennifer is married with three children, Dalton, Nolan and Lea. She graduated from WCU with a bachelors degree in Birth-Kindergarten education. She worked fr Cherokee Central Schools as a preschool exceptional children’s teacher for eight years before becoming a stay at home mom for ten years. She is excited to return to work in the pre-k class at Fairview. She enjoys working with young children and seeing their excitement when they learn something new.
